>>anny:top stories we are following on this friday morning. san francisco's mayor and a number of high level bay area politicians visited the asiana plane crash site. you'll hear what they have to say as well as an update un and a toddler is still missing this morning after she was taken from her father's car two days ago. we'll have an update on the search efforts. good morning i'm anny hong. thanks for joining us on this friday july 12th. and of course we are watching weather this morning as the weekend approaches. lets check in with erica for your forecast. oakland police are expanding their search for missing oakland toddler daphne viola webb. her father has been arrested for child

endangerment and is being held on 100-thousand dollars bail. authorities continue to actively search for the 21- month-old girl who went missing wednesday. they were handing out flyers a gazhalee's supermarket, which is where the child was last seen. there have been two locations that police are focusing their searches on. the first is martin luther king jr. regional shoreline park, which is a place daphne and her father visited frequently. and the other location is the toddlers home which she was sharing with her father

and grandmother. the little girl's disappearance has left a lot of unanswered questions. .following up on and police sent a boat with sonar capability to the park but were unable to launch into the water because the tide was too high. they will try again sometime this morning.

and the toddler's father will face a judge for the first time today. he was arrested yesterday on charges of child endangerment for leaving his young daughter in the car with a mentally disabled person. and the latest on asiana crash 214 clean up crews will continoe to clear runway 2-8 left today. s-f-o officials say they plan to open the runway sometime this weekend. last night, cranes lifted large sections of the plane, the shell of the aircraft will eventually be cut up. some of the parts will be taken to washington d-c for further analysis.

all toured the crash site at s-f-o tonight. earlier this evening, cranes san francisco mayor ed lee the national transportation the crash landing investigators say that the pilot told them he does not a san jose police officer. was charged with requesting and possessing sexually explicit photographs of a minor. 33-year-old tony fregger turned himself in without incident. he was booked, then released on 75-thousand dollars bail. he's an eight year veteran of the force. assigned to

>>anny: good morning. watching wall street this morning futures trading shows all three indexes in the positive this morning. it was a record breaking day on wall street yesterday as the dow and the s and p

500 surged to all time highs. here's a look at the closing numbers. the dow rose 169 points closing the day at 15,460. the nasdaq also saw strong gains-- rising 57 points to close at 3,578. and the s and p 500 gained 22 points to close at 1,675. the federal government reported a rare surplus of

one-hundred-16 billion dollars in june, the largest its seen in five years. the surplus was partially due to 66-billion dollars in dividend payments from mortgage giants fannie mae and freddie mac. throughout the first eight months of the budget year, the deficit has totaled over 5-hundred billion dollars. that's just under 4-hundred billion lower then the same period last year. the congressional budget office forecasts the annual deficit will be 6-hundred- 70 billion when the budget year ends on sept. 30. senators are back to the starting line in search of a compromise to reduce interest rates on student loans. aslawmakers were spooked by a 22-billion dollar price tag that accompanied a potential deal.

kron4's reporter john us live now with the latest on the cleanup of asiana flight 214. >> they have been on the runway trying to clean it up trying to get all of the debris out and as well as the plane itself to that every open on sunday. there has been a lot of activity. of course they're going to try to cut it up in parts and take it to a hangar where they continue the investigation to date. the objective here is to try and clear out the debris and get the plane off the runway so they can open it up this sunday street working only on three runways which has

pressure to our north and to our east. that has been keeping temperatures on a fairly warm side inland. that is helping bring it back on shore flow here and keeping a cloudy conditions around for the morning hours. looks like high pressure will win tomorrow and we're talking temperatures back into the '90s. it will be a little bit cooler today. highs in the east bay. 84 in walnut creek, upper '70's for martinez. temperatures predominantly in the low seventies for the east bay shoreline but expects a high cost to remain in castro valley at 75 degrees. it is shaping up to the eight gorges dam and the south bay. the clouds will clear fairly early. downtown's san francisco today with a high of 64 degrees so very similar to weather almost bought on to what we saw yesterday. it will be a little breezy into the afternoon but regardless redwood city will be fairly warm at 80 degrees today
